Cougar named Player of Week
Columbus State sophomore guard Rodney Willis, a graduate of Briggs High School, continued an offensive stretch by averaging 25.5
points, seven rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.5 steals for his team in wins over Clark
State Community College and Edison Community College. His efforts earned him the NJCAA
DIII National Player of the Week award.
In an 83-49 win over Clark State, Willis had 37 points, seven rebounds, five steals
and two assists. In the Cougar’s 83-77 win over Edison, he had 14 points, seven rebounds
and three assists.
Overall, Willis is averaging 22.2 points, 8.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.1 steals
per game for Columbus State. The team completed its season with a 107-104 overtime
loss to Lorain County Community College in the Division III Region XII championship
game this weekend. Despite the loss, Willis had a game-high 35 points.
Library catalog undergoing maintenance during break
The Columbus State Library catalog will undergo maintenance from Monday, March 13 through Friday, March 17, to upgrade the library system. This work is taking place during Spring Break.
During the maintenance period you will be able to check out books and other materials, access all library research databases,
and search the OhioLINK catalog.
You will not be able to search the Columbus State Library catalog, access your library account,
or request OhioLINK items.

‘Natural Hair’ workshop offered March 29
Are you interested in learning more about natural hair, including your own hair type?
If so, come for a fun and informative natural hair workshop, Wednesday, March 29, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Library media studio. All hair types welcome!
You’ll learn about the chemistry of natural hair products, the history behind the
natural hair revolution, how to properly take care of different hair types, and styling
tips from the experts.

Student Advocacy is currently hiring Peer Advocates for the 2017-2018 academic school
year. Do you have the skills, compassion, and drive to fill this student employment position?
