During Weeks of Welcome, many of you signed the 50 Acts of Kindness pledge and agreed to bring in some food items for the Mid-Ohio Food Bank. You can bring your items to the 50th Birthday Celebration to check off the 8th Act of Kindness. Even if you missed WOW Week, you can still participate! The Columbus State Birthday Celebration will be held on Monday, September 30, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Columbus Campus Courtyard. The rain location is the Delaware Hall Gymnasium.Some suggested items to drop off at the donation table include:Healthy snacks (individually wrapped granola bars, crackers, etc.); non-perishable, hearty microwaveable meals; and instant oatmeal.

One final Major Fair coming next week

At the Engineering Major Fair, Wednesday, September 25 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Nestor Hall Student Lounge, you can meet the faculty, find out what it takes to complete your engineering degree and explore career opportunities in engineering fields of study at Columbus State! If you haven’t chosen your major yet—or if you’re thinking of changing majors—come and check it out!

You’re invited to Game Day at Ohio University

logoCheer the OHIO Bobcats to victory against the Miami Red Hawks, Saturday, October 26 on the Ohio University Campus! This event, hosted by eLearning OHIO, includes a free tailgate party and game tickets to those who RSVP by October 4. (Limit of four tickets per request.)

Come and experience the atmosphere at Ohio University in beautiful Athens, Ohio. Hundreds of Columbus State students have transferred to OU after completing their coursework at Columbus State!RSVP now! 

The pre-game tailgate will be held from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m., with the kickoff in Peden Stadium at 2:00 p.m. Pick up your reserved game tickets, enjoy tailgate food, and get ready for the game at the eLearning OHIO tent in Pepsi Tailgreat Park. Meet students and staff from eLearning OHIO, and walk together over to Peden Stadium before kickoff.

DJ from Power 107.5 radio to speak Oct. 2

The Columbus State honor society Phi Theta Kappa has invited the DJ "City" of Power 107.5 radio station to speak on Wednesday, October 2, at 3:00 p.m. in Nestor Hall East Lounge in honor of PTK’s Week of Community College Completion! “City,” whose real name is Terrence Sigers, will offer a motivational speech about finishing your college degree. City graduated from Beechcroft High School and majored in health at Cumberland College in Williamsburg, Ky. The presentation is free and open to the public.
