BLUEprint Workshops lead to success

Columbus State Advising Services is offering a wide variety of BLUEprint Student Success Workshops this semester. The workshops are free and can help you build skills for success in your personal, academic, and career pursuits.  Please arrive early, as sessions may fill up!

Preferred Pathway® to OSU:  Undergrad Research at OSU:  Helene Cweren, assistant director of the Undergraduate Research Office will be on campus to describe undergraduate research opportunities at Ohio State.  Undergrad research experience can be one of the most important things you can do during your schooling, especially if you plan to further your education.

When Learning Styles Meet Teaching Styles:  Determine your natural learning style and get tips on how to adapt to a diverse range of teaching styles.

Events continue for HERstory month!

This year, Columbus State will tell “her” story during March, national Women’s History Month. We will honor women who have made their mark in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics—the STEM fields. The theme is Women Inspiring Innovation through Imagination: Celebrating Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics

Pick up a pre-packaged dinner on your way home from a busy day! Order through

Wednesday, March 20 – Meditation Seminar
Join one of four 30-minute guided meditation session with wellness professional Jenifer Long.
Every half hour between 12:00 -2:00 p.m. – Delaware 158

Friday, March 22 – “The Vagina Monologues”
Guest performers from central Ohio will perform monologues about the feminine experience. Donations will be collected for Dôma, an organization that helps vulnerable women and children in central Ohio.

Tuesday, March 26 – Women’s Wellness Fair
Community businesses and campus departments will offer information on women’s health topics and provide screenings.

Wednesday, March 27 – Women Leader Awards Reception
Celebrate the leadership achievements of 10 Columbus State women, with a keynote address by Tasha Lebow, past president of the National Association for Multicultural Education.

Friday, March 29 - Women’s HERstory Month Pasta Night
Bring your loved ones to an informal dinner with Columbus State, and honor the “sheroes” on your life!
