IT Majors Fair is April 3
The next “Majors Fair” will be held Wednesday, April 3 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Nestor Hall Student Lounge. Majors Fairs are designed
for YOU if you are undecided about your major, or are considering a change in major. At the
upcoming IT Majors Fair, you can talk with faculty from our IT programs, discuss plans
of study and talk about career fields in all areas of computers and information technology.
Next on the schedule will be the Engineering Majors Fair on Wednesday, April 10.

The Challenges and Triumphs of Women in the U.S. Military
Friday, March 29, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. in the Conference Center Ballroom (WD)
Maj. Gen. Deborah Ashenhurst, first female adjutant general of the Ohio National Guard
will present a talk to celebrate the commitment and invaluable contributions by women
throughout history in the U.S. Military.
Family Pasta Night
Friday, March 29, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the Conference Center Ballroom (WD)
Love makes a family and our personal families can be comprised of parents, children,
friends, mentors and colleagues who support us every day. Let’s take time to relax and appreciate the
people who get us through the school and work week! At the Women’s Herstory Month
Family Pasta Night, we invite you to bring your family and share a meal with the students
and employees that make up our Columbus State family. Seating is limited to 100 attendees.
RSVP your intent to attend plus your number of attendees to email@example.com no later than Wednesday, March 27 (TODAY!) so that we may get an accurate count for catering.
The pasta buffet will include:
- Chicken Alfredo over penne pasta
- Basil Marinara over bowtie pasta
- Garlic breadsticks
- Garden salad with ranch/Italian dressing
- Cookies and brownies
- Beverage station

Volunteers needed for Cougar Challenge 5K!
So you’re not a runner but still want to help Columbus State raise money for book
scholarships at the 2nd annual Cougar Challenge 5K?
Outgoing and energetic students, staff, and faculty members are needed to volunteer
to help make this event a big success! The race will be held at the Bridgeview Golf
Course on Saturday, April 27 starting at 8:00 a.m. If you are interested in enjoying a beautiful spring morning,
please contact Yaizmen Fayne by April 5 to volunteer! Please include your name and t-shirt size. Additional information
will be provided to your email when you volunteer.

For the past two years, the Male Access Network (MAN) Initiative has hosted the Men
of the Year Awards reception. Nearly 80 phenomenal male students, employees and community
leaders have been recognized for showing outstanding leadership every day. Here’s

Melissa’s House invites you to join Marathon Team
Melissa's House provides a welcoming home for adults living with mental illness. Melissa’s
House is also an official charity for the 2013 Capital City Half Marathon, to be held
Saturday, May 4, in Downtown Columbus. Race organizers will make a donation to Melissa’s
House for every runner/walker who joins their team, so they are inviting Columbus
