THE FIRST TEE of COLUMBUS

The Columbus State Bridgeview Golf Course is pleased to be home to
the First Tee of Columbus (TFTC).
The First Tee of Columbus is a nonprofit organization operating under
Columbus State Community College as a chapter of
The First Tee. TFTC is committed to increasing the number of
youth exposed to the game of golf by providing an affordable and
accessible environment to learn and play the game.
Using an established Life Skills curriculum and PGA golf instruction,
TFTC is dedicated to helping shape and develop the lives of youth by
teaching values inherent to the game of golf; such as honesty,
integrity, respect, confidence, sportsmanship, judgment, responsibility,
courtesy, and perseverance.

TFTC believes that while it is very beneficial to introduce young people
to the game of golf, it is more important to assist them in developing
the personal and social skills that will benefit them in their future
lives, golf related or not. The Life Skills component is used to mentor
youth and teach youngsters the value of self-reliance, self-control and
the ability to set and achieve goals. TFTC is dedicated to providing a
platform that encourages and produces success.
