GOLF: GET IN THE GAME!
Columbus State ’s golf team has a tradition of excellence, including several national title wins, and you can be a part of it!
Golf tryouts Aug. 19 and 26 and Sept. 2 and 16:
Open golf tryouts will be held Wednesday, August 19 Wednesday, August 26 Wednesday, September 2 Wednesday, September 16. Dates all begin at 10:00 a.m. Open rounds will held at Turnberry G.C. in Pickerington, Ohio. All golfers are required to pay green ($20.00) fees each time they play.

Those participating in open rounds must bring to the round the Columbus State pre-participation packet and a completed physical (part of the packet). These can be obtained by A) coming to room 134 in Delaware Hall or B) contacting Scott Nichols at 614 287-5092 for one to be mailed (leave a voice mail with your name, U.S. Mail address, city and zip code and phone number).
Last year's effort
All home matches are free and open to students. And going out for the team can pay dividends – many of our players are recruited to four-year colleges. Even better, the golf team offers full scholarships as a member of NJCAA Div. II.
Second-year Head Coach Watson Walker Jr. took his team to the NJCAA Region 12 tournament May 11 and 12 at the Bedford Valley Golf Course in Michigan.
