Students who wish to transfer to a four-year university in the US to earn a Bachelor’s Degree can complete an Associate of Arts (AA) or Sciences (AS) degree at CSCC. These degrees are considered the first two years of the four-year degree; courses fulfill the “general education” portion of the Bachelor’s Degree. Upon completion of an AA or AS degree, students may transfer to any four-year college or university in the U.S. to complete the last two years of study (“major” courses) needed for a Bachelor’s Degree. For general requirements of the AA and AS degrees, please click here.
Students who wish to join the workforce upon completing their degrees, rather than transfer to a four-year school, should complete the Associate off Applied Science Degree at CSCC in their particular field of interest. To view the Career and Technical degrees and certificate programs offered at CSCC, please click here.
The length of study may vary from one student to another due to English and Mathematics placement test results. For example, a student placing into English 1101 (English Composition) may be able to finish sooner than a student who places into an English as a Second Language class which will be required to be completed before English 1101 can be taken.
