Great Performances at the Lincoln Theatre

Columbus State's music and theater programs will perform in a special series at the Lincoln Theatre, starting March 5 with the Columbus State Concert Band and the Columbus State Jazz Ensemble.

All performances are free and open to the public.

Concert & Jazz Band

Both bands will offer a special concert made up of the work of women composers, in honor of Women’s History Month in March. The concert band is directed by Thomas Lloyd; the jazz ensemble is under the direction of Rick Brunetto.

Chorus Columbus State, under the direction of Gordon Franklin, will present a concert featuring spirituals and jazz songs.

Theatre Columbus State

"Six Degrees of Separation"

In April, award-winning director Frank Barnhart will take Theatre Columbus State to the Lincoln to perform Six Degrees of Separation, an examination of the threads of chance that link one person to another. The play will run Wednesday through Saturday, April 24 – 27, from 8 – 10 p.m. A special matinee will be performed on Thursday, April 25 at 3 p.m.

"Choir Mania: A Historic Flashback of Great Gospel Choirs"

The series will wrap up with Emma Easton's Gospel Vocal Ensemble performing a Historic Flashback of Great Gospel Choirs.
