Faculty and staff nominations must be submitted by 11:59pm on Monday, February 12, 2018 for this year’s award.

The Committee will notify eligible nominees and provide instructions for the student application process. Student applications must be submitted by 11:59pm on Sunday, March 18, 2018 to be considered for this year’s award.

All faculty and staff are welcome to nominate students who meet the following criteria:

  • Nominees must have completed at least 30 credit hours at Columbus State Community College.
  • Nominees must be recent graduates of Columbus State (since the previous Spring semester) or students planning to graduate in the current academic year (Autumn or Spring).
  • Nominees must be Columbus State students who, in your experience and professional opinion, have performed and behaved in a manner worthy of this exclusive group of students according to the Society of the Compass creed.

Final decisions on the student candidates to be inducted will be made by The Society of the Compass Committee. The inductees will receive special recognition at Spring Commencement and will be honored as part of a Society of the Compass induction ceremony with President Harrison.
