Traditional Track Nursing

Traditional Nursing Program

The traditional program is for the student who desires a traditional class setting for the majority of their course work. The program includes theory, lab and clinical components.

Nursing classes are structured to promote student participation and learning through lecture, seminar, laboratory practice, and clinical experiences. In the traditional track, lecture and seminar activities take place on campus in the classroom. Lecture is in a large group format. Seminar is a small group processing time. Laboratory practice and clinical experiences will be hands on learning and use of skills and concepts. Clinical will take place in any of the central Ohio medical facilities. These learning opportunities are designed to encourage the student to apply concepts and utilize critical thinking skills in the promotion, maintenance, and restoration of health of clients. Students learn to work collaboratively with other health team members within the health care delivery system.
