Summer Information
Summer Semester Rules
Summer Semester is the start of the academic year for College Credit Plus funding.
Students who wish to enroll in summer classes should be in good academic standing
in their current middle school, high school, and dual credit classes. Summer semester
at the college may begin before a school district has ended the academic year. Also,
the summer semester may overlap with the start of the next year for a school district.
So students and families should review the calendar carefully as they select college
courses. Consult with your guidance counselor in January or February if you want
to take Summer classes. Make sure you are selecting courses that make sense - meet
your high school graduation requirements as you pursue an academic pathway in college.
All Summer registration activity must take place via your College Credit Plus advisor
– consult the Advising page on the website if you have not yet spoken with your advisor.
If you choose to self-pay to review pre-college material, which is not covered by
College Credit Plus funding, the student will be financially responsible for the cost
of the course.
