Biden visit touts community colleges

With Columbus State as the starting line, Dr. Jill Biden and Labor Secretary Hilda Solis kicked off a three-day, multi-state Community College to Career bus tour.

Columbus State's president, Dr. David T. Harrison, moderated the panel, which included business leaders, government officials and former students. One student, Marlon Hariston, told how a program called LogisticsART helped change his life.

"It's not by accident that we chose Columbus State to kick off our three-day community college bus tour," Solis said. "America needs to see that this formula does work."
