Honor an outstanding woman
Nominations for the Outstanding Woman Student Leader Award are due Feb. 10
The Student Engagement and Leadership Department invites you to nominate an outstanding woman for our 2012 Women’s History Month Leadership Awards. This award recognizes academic excellence and civic involvement among our women students.
Submit your typed, double-spaced nomination to Heather Borland, assistant director for student engagement and leadership, at Nestor Hall 116. For more information, please call Sabrina Ayers Holmes at 287-2637.

Up to 10 women will be honored on March 6, 2012, during the Women’s History Month Awards Reception. The Awards Reception will be held from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. in the Conference Center Ballroom, WD 435. This year’s theme is “Women’s Education, Women’s Empowerment.”
Previous winners have been community volunteers, mothers, entrepreneurs and scholars. They have overcome obstacles such as injury, abuse—or just excelled despite their busy lives. Nominees must be currently enrolled for Winter and registered for Spring, and have a minimum 2.5 GPA.
