Time to register for Day of Service!
As was announced earlier in the summer, the Columbus State Day of Service will make a return on Wednesday, September 24. Classes will not be held during the day and Columbus State employees will volunteer throughout the community. Employees from the Columbus Campus, Delaware Campus and Regional Learning Centers are invited to participate.

Some departments might sign up together to perform physical tasks like painting, cleaning, planting or building. Others might enjoy a quieter activity like serving meals to the elderly. Some individuals might go to their favorite charity on the list to continue the work they already do to help out. Others will find something new and different like delivering Meals on Wheels. It will be up to you to choose!

The Day of Service sign-up page (link to the right) is now online, listing all volunteer opportunities that have been set up for the 2014 Day of Service. Columbus State employees can browse the opportunities, learn more about each agency, and select a project that suits them. Each volunteer project will have a Team Leader helping coordinate the day at that location, so employee groups can sign up together if they like, or individuals can join any team project that interests them.

Lots more logistical details, including the day's schedule and a page of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) is now online. See the links to the right.

Check it out and register today! Together, we can use one short day to make one BIG impact on our community.
