Columbus State Community offers an interactive and engaging full-day orientation session on the 1st of each month. The program prepares new employees for success by sharing key resources and benefits and connecting new employees through their positions to Columbus State’s culture, vision, values and goals. Orientation is the first step coupled with On-Boarding to prepare and support new employees during their first year of employment.
An abbreviated form of First Day Orientation, Mid-Month connects new employees immediately to essential computer and training information needed to begin their positions on the 16th of the month. New employees will attend the next available First Day Orientation for the first portion of the day to receive the full benefits and resources provided for all new employees.
As an effort to connect and integrate new employees with Columbus State’s vision, goals, culture and values as well as encourage ongoing support and information for new hires, Columbus State offers six on-boarding sessions focusing on key areas of the College. The on-boarding sessions are open to all employees held monthly on Friday mornings from 9:00am to 11:00am. Each is held twice throughout the year to accommodate employee schedules. All new employees are required to attend the six different on-boarding sessions. Onboarding Session Schedule and Descriptions
