Register for Spring Semester

If you have a project idea or identify a grant opportunity of interest, a good first step is to contact the Grants Office. We will support you throughout the process by:

  • Locating funding sources
  • Interpreting grant guidelines
  • Assembling a "grant team"
  • Using successful grant writing techniques
  • Writing or editing the grant proposal
  • Developing a budget
  • Completing required forms
  • Submitting the proposal

You will write portions of the proposal since you are the content expert. However, the Grants Office has specialized training in proposal writing and grant application processes.

Getting the Go-Ahead

Early in the process, the Grants Office communicates with your chair or director and the appropriate Vice President about a possible submission. Ultimately, they decide if the proposed project will benefit the College and proposal development will proceed.

Keep in mind that a grant proposal, when accepted, is a legally binding contract. Working with the Grants Office protects you and the College!
