First Wednesday scheduled for June 7

President Harrison’s monthly employee meeting, First Wednesday, will be held on June 7, starting at 8:15 a.m. in the Conference Center Ballroom, fourth floor WD.  The meeting will also be live streamed online at https://livestream.com/cscc where you will be prompted to enter the password cougars.

 

Library elevator out of service today, tomorrow

The elevator in Columbus Hall – the Library – will be out of service on Monday and Tuesday, May 22 and 23, due to necessary repairs. 

 

Arts Festival coming soon!

The 2017 Columbus Arts Festival will be held along Columbus' downtown riverfront Friday through Sunday, June 9-11, transforming the Scioto Mile into a stunning outdoor art gallery as the nation's top artists display and sell their work.

In addition to hosting nearly 300 nationally acclaimed artists, the festival will feature great food from some of the city's finest restaurants and food trucks and six stages of entertainment, featuring music, dance, theater and spoken word poetry, art demonstrations, hands-on art activities and more.

‘Step Up’ discrimination workshop is May 25

For those who have completed “Step Up! Be a Leader, Make a Difference - Part 1,” join HR for “Part 2: Discrimination” on Thursday, May 25, at 10:00 a.m. or 2:30 p.m. During this workshop, employees will learn about elements of discrimination and effective strategies for helping when they witness discrimination. While some of the material discussed in this workshop will be controversial or sensitive in nature, we will explore this subject openly with the intent to strengthen our community by creating an environment in which all people feel welcomed and valued.

‘Understanding Conflict’ is June 2

Believe it or not, conflict can be a healthy and productive part of the workplace environment. In “Understanding Conflict,” we will examine the different conflict styles of the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Instrument to understand our own go-to style and explore healthy resolution strategies.
