Ohio State University Partnership

Ohio State MarionThe Ohio State University and Columbus State Community College are continuing their long history of collaboration with a unique partnership between Columbus State's Delaware Campus and Ohio State at Marion.

Ohio State at Marion students can take select Ohio State courses at Columbus State's Delaware Campus. These courses are taught by OSU faculty, and credit is awarded through OSU at Marion. Many of the courses are junior- and senior-level courses, building on Columbus State's existing curriculum, which allows students to complete the first two year's of bachelor's degree requirements through the Preferred Pathway program

Preferred Pathway students begin their studies at Columbus State, and are guaranteed admission and transfer credit to Ohio State in the program they have selected. Advisors from both Columbus State and Ohio State are available at Columbus State's Delaware campus to assist students and assure a seamless bridge to an Ohio State bachelor's degree.

Ohio State Marion Delaware Partnership

"The last decade of increasing enrollments at the Columbus State Delaware Campus has demonstrated Delaware's desirability as an entry point to higher education for students in northern Franklin and Delaware counties," said Gregory S. Rose, Ohio State Marion Dean and Director. "The Ohio State-Columbus State collaboration in Delaware serves this growing student base, while providing efficiencies for both institutions."

"This collaboration shows our mutual commitment to expanded access and enhanced student attainment," said Michael J. Boehm, Ohio State vice provost for academic planning. "It has established a new model for institutional cooperation, with our institutions setting the pace in fulfilling Ohio's expectations of higher education." (State goals call for increasing college enrollment by 230,000 and boosting the rate of graduation by 20 percent by 2017.)
