Columbus State Community College is committed to the Academic Quality Improvement Program (AQIP) and has established the process below to assess student learning:

The HLC Guidelines for Assessment Processes at Institutions of Higher Learning (.docx)

The college's outcomes based assessment process is used to:

  • Improve student Learning
  • Improve teaching strategies
  • Document success and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Provide evidence of institutional effectiveness

Assessment data is collected annually in the classroom. Faculty share and analyze the data with other faculty from across the college and communicate results to the college cabinet as they identify their plans and resources needed for the following year.
