Business & Industry Training Services: Business and Industry
provides customized training to local businesses. The department
can provide classes for your employees, or provide consulting
services. Business & Industry Training Services leverages the
resources of Columbus State to provide high-quality services.
Conference Center: The Columbus State Conference Center is an
ideal place for your next meeting or event. The center's main
ballroom, on the fourth floor of the Center for Workforce
Development, affords a breathtaking view of downtown. The center
also has several breakout rooms with state-of-the-art
audio-visual and presentation equipment.
Continuing Professional Education: This division offers training
to help with your career, or to feed your soul. The division
offers continuing education (CEUS) in fields from real estate to
nursing. The department also offers personal enrichment classes
such as herbal remedies, crafts and personal finance.
Transitional Workforce: Also known as the Skills Development
Center, the Transitional Workforce department helps people
entering (or re-entering) the workforce. It offers Basic English
(English as a Second Language), GED preparation, and OTAP
(Orientation to Trades and Apprenticeships).
