Cut out the short cuts

We are all very good at taking short cuts to be as time efficient as possible. We avoid the stairs and take the elevator and we will often learn the shortest possible distance from point A to point B. One very effective way to increase physical activity in your life is to cut out the short cuts and find the longest distance from point A to point B. Take the long way to your next meeting or take a lap around the floor you work on during your next break. You can get creative and add more physical activity to your life without having to take part in structured exercise that may take too much time for your busy schedule.
