New foodservice vendor to be announced soonEarlier this year a campus committee reviewed and selected new vendors for the college's cafeteria, catering and vending services (see Update, January 16, 2007). The contracting process is nearing completion and when contracts are signed, an Open House for campus will be held. The final vendor selection will be announced when contracts are completed. Watch for specifics in Update.

The goal is to transition to the new vendors over the upcoming break to minimize interruptions in service to campus.

In the meantime, we thank Aramark for its years of service to Columbus State.

Cougar golfers to play in nationals next weekThe Columbus State golf team has qualified to represent Region 12 in the upcoming NJCAA National Tournament, to be held in Jamestown, N.Y., June 4-8.  

According to M.D. Ferguson, athletic director, the team includes two all-region team members, Jesse Moss and Mychal Alvarez.  The other members representing Columbus State are Daniel McNamer, Nicholas Trainer and Matt Warren.  Warren competed as an individual in the 2006 National Tournament. 

Team members will be in contention for both team honors and individual medals.

Employee fee waivers due soonEmployee/Dependent fee waivers should be submitted to the Human Resources office by Friday, June 8 at the close of business (4:30 p.m.) to guarantee that they are processed before late fees are assessed.
