Party dresses needed for donation!

girl with dress
The Student Engagement and Leadership Office (SEaL) is collecting donations of gently used formal gowns, dresses, shoes and accessories for the Cinderella’s Closet Boutique run by the Fairy Goodmothers organization.  Cinderella’s Closet is a special event held for central Ohio high school girls who may not have the means to purchase them for their proms and spring dances. On Tuesday, February 26 from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., SEaL will collect the donations and students will host a little fashion show in the Nestor Hall study lounge “runway!”

So bring your daughter’s or your own new or gently used formal gowns and accessories to Nestor Hall on Feb. 26 for a very good cause. The Fairy Goodmothers hope to collect at least 1,500 gowns this year for local kids!

New exhibit opens in Library
The Library is pleased to welcome the works of artist, Valerie Lamb-Steece, the featured artist for the Month of February.  The artist says “Most of the paintings are still life, but some of them are purely from imagination, surprising even me as they are being painted. Bright colors make me happy, and often remind me of a specific place and time. I believe there is a creative person inside every one of us, that if you keep showing up your creativity shows up too.”

The exhibit will be on display in the Main gallery of the Library on the second floor through the end of the month.
