Volunteers needed for “College Goal Sunday!”
Thousands of students and parents benefit every year from College Goal Sunday, which will be held Sunday, February 10, 2013. Columbus State will host College Goal Sunday sites on the Columbus and Delaware campuses.

College Goal Sunday is a statewide program that provides free information and assistance to students and families who are applying for financial aid for college education. The program brings together financial aid professionals from colleges and universities along with other volunteers to help college-bound students and their families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This form is required for any student seeking federal and state financial aid, including grants and loans at all colleges in the country.
Columbus State needs volunteers to share a few hours of their time and expertise to help students and their families complete the FAFSA accurately and by the deadline dates. The event starts at 2:00 p.m. and volunteers will be asked to arrive at least one hour before the event begins.
All types of volunteers are needed including those who will help families complete their forms, those willing to serve as experts to answer all kinds of questions, and those willing to work at registration tables, escort families to the computer labs and help monitor the availability of computers. To volunteer, go to www.ohiocollegegoal sunday.org and click on the “Volunteer Registration” tab to sign up and select your location.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Regina Harper, site coordinator for the Columbus campus, or Pat Fabrisi, site coordinator for the Delaware Campus.
