Lecture Series to present theological debateThe Division of Arts and Sciences Faculty Lecture Series will present a talk entitled "Defending the Existence of God," given by David Fisher,  assistant professor in Humanities, at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 23, in Nestor Hall Seminar Room C. The subject was born from a public debate in which Fisher was involved last year at Ohio State. The debate was attended by more than 300 students. Rev. Fisher will present major philosophical and theological ideas on faith and belief in God.

Automotive class needs problem carsThe AUTO 145 class is in need of a few cars with steering and/or suspension problems. If your car is 10 years old or newer and needs shocks, struts, or an alignment, or if your car has a constant vibration, a vibration at certain speeds, or a popping or clunking sound from the front end, but not a vibration when you hit the brakes, then the students in AUTO 145 may be able to help. Please e-mail Dave Hill dhill@cscc.edu to set up an appointment. Appointments made by phone cannot be accepted. The class will be held on Tuesdays, 6 p.m. only. There are very few slots available and will fill up quickly, so act now.

Learn how to deal with joint painThe Columbus State Wellness Activities Initiative will present "Joint Pain and Arthritis" with Teresa Browning from noon-1 p.m. Tuesday, January 23, in Delaware Hall, Room 029. In this seminar, you can learn how to take care of your joints so they last a lifetime. Bring a friend and your lunch and enjoy the presentation. Christopher's restaurant opens for 2007Christopher's, the student-run dining experience for the Hospitality Management Department, will open on Thursdays starting on January 25 from 11:00 a.m.-12:15 p.m. Christopher's is located in Eibling Hall, room 05. Reservations are not needed.

Columbus State in the newsThe February issue of "Columbus CEO" magazine includes a feature story on Columbus State's new Center for Workforce Development. The article, "Educating Workers," includes quotes from a number of college employees and community leaders.

Also, the January issue of "Smart Business Columbus" includes the magazine's list of the 100 most influential business and civic leaders in Greater Columbus, the "Power 100." The list includes, at number 47, Columbus State President Val Moeller, and at number 86, Columbus State Trustee Paula Innis.
