Support Resources

Support and resources are available even if a person chooses not to pursue an investigation through the College or criminal charges. Many of these resources also are available to those who are accused of sexual misconduct or another form of discrimination.

Confidential Resources

Providers of confidential services may not share your information without your express consent, unless there is an imminent danger to you or others or as required by law. Providers are granted the privilege of confidentiality under Ohio law due to the nature of their position.

Please note, the provider must be acting in their counseling role in order to exercise complete confidentiality. For example, telling your Human Services professor, who also happens to be a licensed counselor, about a sexual assault does not grant you confidentiality. The professor must report this to the Title IX Coordinator, and the Title IX Coordinator will contact you about the information. (See FAQs for more information on confidentiality.)

Community Resources

Additional legal protections may be available for immigrants and international students who are the victims of crime or human trafficking. The United States Department of Homeland Security, Citizenship and Immigration Services, annually sets aside a limited number of non-immigrant visas for individuals who meet eligibility criteria.
