Career Information

Tremendous advances in modern medicine have resulted in an increased demand for diagnostic laboratory tests.  Nationally, positions within the clinical laboratory science field are expected to grow 17% through 2008. The Medical Laboratory program is designed to prepare graduates to perform laboratory procedures in a variety of settings.   Career and employment opportunities are available in hospital clinic, and reference laboratories.  Public health, research, and veterinary facilities also employ MLTs.
