Speaker: David J. Staley

David J. Staley, Ph.D. is principal of The DStaley Group, a strategic futuring consulting firm. He has worked with clients from diverse industries—from insurance to publishing to polymers—on environment scanning, implications analysis, peripheral visioning, scenario development and thought leadership.

He is president of Columbus Futurists, the local chapter of the World Future Society and has written two books: Computers, Visualization and History: How New Technology Will Transform Our Understanding of the Past; and History and Future: Using Historical Thinking to Imagine the Future.

He is an adjunct associate professor and Director of the Harvey Goldberg Program for Excellence in Teaching in the Department of History at The Ohio State University.
