   Human Resources: Labor Relations
 



Welcome

The Labor Relations Section is one of five sections in the Columbus State Community College Office of Human Resources. The general duties and responsibilities of this section include, but are not limited to;

  • providing contract interpretation and administration;

  • contract negotiations;

  • conducting grievance meetings and resolution of grievances;

  • employee relations;

  • training and development for employees and supervisors;

  • conducting disciplinary hearings and providing reports and recommendations to management; and

  • acting as a management advocate in mediation and arbitration.

CSCC administers three different labor agreements. The Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) labor agreement covers approximately 25 law enforcement officers in our Public Safety Department.  The Teamsters Local 284 labor agreement covers approximately 45 Physical Plant staff.  In addition, the Columbus State Education Association (CSEA/OEA) labor agreement covers approximately 150 full-time faculty members.
