Degree and Certificate Paths Associate of Applied Sciences in Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning This two-year associate degree prepares students for work in the heating, ventilating and air conditioning industry. Curriculum requirements and plan of study are listed in the catalog. Residential/Light Commercial Certificate This certificate is designed to provide HVAC professionals specific knowledge and hands-on training experience of HVAC controls and equipment. It is recommended that students pursuing this certificate have some experience installing, maintaining and servicing furnaces, heat pumps and air conditioning systems in the residential community. Commercial Certificate This certificate is designed to provide HVAC professionals the competencies and hands-on experience needed to properly maintain and service commercial and industrial HVAC equipment including boilers, chillers, air handlers and the controls needed to operate this equipment. It is recommended that students pursuing this certificate plan to or work in large office and apartment buildings, hospitals and industrial plants. High Pressure Boiler License Training Program This
four course program prepares students to take the State of
Ohio High Pressure Boiler Operators License examination.
Students will still be required to establish actual work
experience around high pressure boilers in accordance with
State of Ohio requirements. This boiler license program
gives technicians the opportunity to progress from licensed
boiler operator through many more responsible jobs in
industry and commercial applications.
