About SOLA
Did you know that all students enrolled in the Legal Assisting Program are automatically members of SOLA? SOLA is the Student Organization of Legal Assistants at Columbus State Community College. The purpose of SOLA is to provide members with information relevant to their education and career goals within the Legal Assisting profession.
Monthly Meeting
Monthly meetings are held from September through May. SOLA meetings provide students with opportunities to hear guest speakers from the Central Ohio legal community and to provide information regarding course curriculum, internships, employment opportunities, and upcoming events. Meeting dates and times are communicated through postings in Legal Studies Department Office and via announcements in classes.

SOLA Sponsored Events
SOLA provides social contact, networking opportunities, and educational activities through the many events that are sponsored by the organization. Past activities have included Franklin County Courthouse tours, sponsorship of Law Day, networking socials, and sponsorship of debates between political candidates on the campus.
Offices and Committees
The offices of SOLA consists of students from the Legal Assisting program. Throughout the year, members of SOLA volunteer to help with various committees that are in charge of planning events, such as Law Day and fundraising activities.
