Transferring
Columbus State Community College offers transfer courses leading to the Associate of Arts
or Associate of Science degrees which will generally satisfy the first two years of a
baccalaureate degree. Formal agreements have been made with colleges and universities in
Central Ohio which allow for coursework taken in A.A. or A.S. degree programs at Columbus
State to transfer and apply to B.A. or B.S. requirements at those institutions.
Transfer Guides are available for Capital University, Mount Carmel
College of Nursing, Otterbein College, and The Ohio State University. These guides
are designed to assist students in selecting courses that will specific requirements
at the institutions listed above. Contact a
transfer advisor for more information.
In addition, the core degree requirements at Columbus State constitute the Ohio Board of
Regent's approved Ohio Transfer Policy Module which will transfer to any state supported
institution in Ohio.
Graduation Requirements:
1. All students must satisfactorily complete at least 92 credit hours of approved courses,
a minimum of 35 hours of which must be completed at Columbus State. Approved courses are
listed in the Ohio Transfer Module and in the Transfer Guides. Satisfactory completion
requires a final grade of A, B, C, or D. Transfer credit may be awarded for courses in
which a "C" or better has been earned at other accredited institutions if the
course level equivalencies have been approved by the Dean of Arts and Sciences. (If

pre-approved for credit toward a Columbus State degree.)
