
The Columbus State Child Development Center is located on the campus
of Columbus State Community College in downtown Columbus Ohio. The
Center is houses in a facility that provides over 24,000 square feet of
space and houses to infant, 3 toddler and 3 preschool rooms. Each classroom has two full-time teachers and additional
classroom assistants to maintain the ratios of:
Infants: 5:1
Toddlers: 7:1
Preschoolers: 10:1
The maximum group size per room is:
Infants: 10
Toddlers: 14
Preschoolers: 20

The Center also features 3 indoor muscle rooms, an art studio, and a
parent-teacher resource room.
A 10,800 square-foot playground wraps around the outside of the
building, with the space divided to provide designated areas for
infants, toddlers and preschoolers. All children go outside at least
once a day when the weather allows. When the weather is not suitable for
outdoor plan, children participate in large-motor activities indoors.
