§        Columbus State is a great value because you get excellent instruction in up-to-date facilities for less money than most technical schools.

§        Because CSCC is a state-supported college, approximately half of the costs of providing good instruction are covered by federal and state funds.  Non-state-funded schools have to charge their students substantially more.

§        CSCC’s cost per credit hour is $79.00. Full-time students average 14 credits per quarter at a cost of $1064.00 plus books and fees are paid by the quarter.  You can pay as you go.

§        The average student will spend approximately $9,500 total for tuition, books, and related fees to obtain a 2-year Associate’s Degree.  Most colleges are more than that for just one year.

§        Receiving credit for basic courses based on the student’s performance in their vocational program can reduce costs.  Up to 31 credits can be obtained for savings up to $2449.

§        We provide all hand tools and equipment for instruction on campus.  If you connect with a dealer or independent repair facility for work experience, you will need a basic tool set when you start work.
