Welcome to Art Courses at Columbus State Community College. These courses are designed to offer you the basic visual language they need to start your arts studies, or simply to allow you to appreciate art.

Our courses allow you to put art within its cultural and historical context. We do not offer a degree in art, but many students take arts courses as a way to build up their portfolios before going to art school. Also, our classes count as electives toward your Associate of Arts or Associate of Sciences Degree.

Welcome

December 1 2007
Student’s works show at ERC Gallery at Columbus State Community College

This exhibition features paintings, drawings, mixed-media works, and 2 dimensional designs, created by students at Columbus State Community College studio art courses.
The artworks reflect expertise in diverse media and varied interests and points of view.
Jurors select artworks to be presented in the exhibition and those to receive awards

We invite students who were enrolled in studio classes in 2007 to submit a piece of original artwork in the show. This exhibition is part of the imitative to highlight the creative diversity of our students, quality of art courses and excellent studio facilities at Columbus State Community College.
