Requirements & Eligibility

Students entering the Aviation Maintenance Technology must apply to Columbus State Community College and complete the Compass Placement Test. Prospective students must place into ENGL 101 and MATH 102. FAA requirements for eligibility for Mechanic Certificate:

• 18 years old

•  Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English Language

•  Pass the required tests

•  General – written, oral, and practical

•  Airframe – written, oral, and practical

•  Powerplant – written, oral, and particle
