College's "new" Lear Jet touches down at Bolton Field
after last flight
   May 26, 2005

Dick Bickerstaff, chairman of Engineering Technologies, tests the cockpit of a Lear Jet 25D on for size minutes after the aircraft touched down on its final flight from Rickenbacker airport to Bolton Field May 25. The Lear will become the first fully operational turbojet aircraft owned by the Columbus State Aviation Maintenance Technology Department after being retired from the fleet of AirNet Systems, Inc., an air transportation service for small package shippers. The Lear's title papers show that the jet was formerly owned by country singer Willie Nelson.
